We had random things blowing off our house, and into our house, and on the street. We even heard on the news about someone who had a tree land on their car, sadly it was fatal, otherwise that would have been a cool story. Some of our friends from church had their basketball net land on their car, luckily there were only a few dents and scratches.
My mom was kind enough to take some pictures of some signs that blew over in our subdivision. With the crazy wind storms and the cold that is in our midst, I am trying to remember why we live here...... Hawaii is looking pretty good right now!

i heard about that fatal accident. I heard that the guy had just survived cancer too. So sad.....and i remember that day!!! It was scary. I didnt know about all the signs blown over though. I heard that garbage cans were flying around and stuff.....and other random things
The weather here is WHACK!!!!!
Yeah, a huge tree on campus blew over too. There was lots of crazy stuff happening that day....
MOther nature is a nasty little bugger... It's amazing how strong her elements can be.

That story gets sadder and sadder...
I remember the winds in Alberta and I tell my kids stories about how it could lift you off the ground when you held your coat up (okay, the lighter kids)and how I would walk backwards so that I could breath easier. I've seen backyard sheds flying through the air in PB.
It's funny how sheds flying around backyards, and children being lifted in the air are normal occurrences in Alberta.

Oh my! Well I can totally understand the wind issue! Did you notice my shingles laying on my front steps??! *L*
As well, we'll move to Hawaii with you! We're really looking into it!
